For nature lovers, the office of the national park hosts a number of educational excursions and workshops that teach first hand about the delicate and mesmerising flora and fauna of the Curonian Spit. discover the worlds of the sea, the lagoon, the dunes, the forest and the rest of the great outdoors. Suitable for families, students and children.

 

The workshops include:

  • “The detective of the Curonian Spit”: study the many footprints of the local animals in their natural habitat.
  • “The world of the water”: expand your knowledge about the Curonian lagoon and the Baltic Sea.
  • “In the maze of the forest”: immerse yourself in an authentic forest experience and learn all about the trees and plants of the Curonian Spit.
  • “The Dunes of the Curonian Spit”: a course about perhaps the most iconic natural landmarks of the peninsula - the dunes, their development and conservation.
  • „Let the nature breathe”: find out about the effects of pollution and littering that the local nature is facing and how to help.
  • “In the footsteps of ants”: a unique insight into the life of local ants.
  • “The world of molluscs”: an unexpected lesson on the life of molluscs, their types, forms and habits.
