Location: 32 km of the Smiltynė–Nida road, Neringa

The area of the Nagliai Nature Reserve, stretched out nine kilometers between Juodkrantė and Pervalka, occupies 1,680 ha. Here you can see the Gray Dunes, also called Dead Dunes, buried places of former settlements, spontaneous forest vegetation or the soil of hundred-year-old forests buried under the sand. Due to the strong winds, impressive gullies and erosions are formed in these dunes. In some places, fragments of old soils emerge from under the sand.

Getting to know the reserve and the Gray Dunes should begin at the 32nd kilometer of the Smiltynė–Nida road, where there is a parking lot. A special educational trail of just over a kilometer begins there. About half of it goes through a reinforced surface (gravel, boards), the remaining section goes through the sand.

During the summer season, the educational trail of the Nagliai Nature Reserve serves visitors from Monday to Sunday. Visiting hours of the trail are adjusted to the sunset - this schedule allows you to enjoy the scenery in the reserve for longer and avoid congestion in the parking lot.
